RULES OF PROTEST
1) Do not break or be in violation of any UK Law (No littering (fag butts included), being drunk and disorderly, drugs, etc.).
2) No weapons.
3) No racism.
4) No hatred towards non-Anonymous or any Anonymous (unless a rule is broken).
5) No vocal swearing.
6) No obstruction of the public or Police officers. They are here to protect us.
7) Do not do ANYTHING against Scientologists physically, or what may be considered abusively (shouting in their faces, etc).
8) Do not even touch a Scientologist. (if you must offer free hugs to the public, only hug anyone who approaches you with there arms outstretched and smiling!)
9) Be respectful towards the Scientologists; it is not their fault that they are brainwashed (we are fighting the CoS, not the religion).
10) Offer to educate the public, do not just shout at them.
11) Do not mention sites or sources of information involved in the planning of protest.
12) Hide your identity unless more information on Section 60 is given. CoS are working with the police and may make it an offence not to remove a mask.
13) Say 'thank you' to the Police after the raid.
14) Have Fun!
Protip: THIS IS A PEACEFUL PROTEST. ANYONE FOUND BREAKING THESE RULES WILL BE DEMASKED AND KICKED IN THE NUTS
If any more rules are needed, feel free to add.
OFFICIAL PROJECT CHANOLOGY RULES Guidelines
These rules do not represent the writings and ideas of any one person; they were decided upon via joint consensus of many Anonymii.
The purpose of the demonstration in a modern western society is to convey a message to the public. In keeping with this objective, Anonymous has drafted 22 rules that Anonymous can follow in order to assure epic win and no loss of hit points on your part.
Rule #0: Rules 1 and 2 of the internet still apply. Your memes are not, at this juncture, something that the real world can appreciate. Although meme speak between fellow Anonymous is acceptable, focus on the target and keep it to a minimum.
Rule #1: Stay cool.
Rule #2: Stay cool, especially when harassed. You are an ambassador of Anonymous. Although individuals trying to disrupt your demonstration will get on your nerves, you must not lose your temper. Doing so will harm the protest and tarnish the reputation of Anonymous.
Rule #3: Comply with the orders of law enforcement officers above all else. Doing otherwise is harmful the demonstration as a whole and may compromise your performance as a human being. Do not request badge numbers unless you are being treated in a very abusive manner, as doing so will anger officers.
Rule #4: Notify city officials. Most jurisdictions either have rules about public protests, or would prefer to be notified that they are taking place. Know the rules for your jurisdiction and abide by them.
Rule #5: Always be across the street from the object being protested.
Rule #6: In the absence of a road, find another natural barrier between yourself and the target of protest. Doing so will make it more difficult for individuals hostile to your cause to come and harass you.
Rule #7: Stay on public property. You may be charged for trespassing if you do not.
Rule #8: No violence.
Rule #9: No weapons. The demonstration is a peaceful event. Your weapons... you will not need them.
Rule #10: No alcohol or pre-drinking. Violating this rule may easily precipitate a violation of rules 1 and 2.
Rule #11: NO graffiti, destruction, or vandalism.
Rule #12: If you want to do something stupid, pick another day. These should be self explanatory. Violation of these rules during a demonstration will tarnish the reputation of Anonymous, harm the demonstration itself and leave you vulnerable to attention from law enforcement.
Rule #13: Anonymous is legion. Never be alone. Isolation during a protest marks you as a target for handlers who wish to provoke an angry reaction from you and other hostiles. In keeping with this principle...
Rule #14: Organize in squads of 10 to 15 people.
Rule #15: One or two megaphones per squad. A megaphone is helpful for maintaining the overall cohesion of a demonstration and spreading your message. However, too many will confuse the public and render you hearing impaired.
Rule #16: Know the dress code. Forming a loose yet reasonable dress code for protest members will help to maintain cohesion and get the public to take you seriously.
Rule #17: Cover your face. This will prevent your identification from videos taken by hostiles, other protesters or security. Use scarves, hats and sunglasses. Masks are not necessary, and donning them in the context of a public demonstration is forbidden in some jurisdictions.
Rule #18: DO NOT take ID or credit cards. This will prevent your definitive identification in case you do something unseemly and get noticed by law enforcement.
Rule #19: Bring tasty beverages (Non-Alcoholic).
Rule #20: Wear good shoes. Following this rules will ensure your comfort during the demonstration. Keep in mind that demonstrations may often be quite lengthy.
Rule #21: Signs, fliers, and phrases. Have yours ready. Make sure that signs are large enough to read. Also ensure that the text on your signs and your phrases are pertinent to the target of the protest. Finally, prepare legible, uncomplicated and accurate flyers to hand out to those who wish to know more regarding the motivations behind your actions.
Rule #22: Document the demonstration. Videos and pictures of the event may be used to corroborate your side of the story if law enforcement get involved. Furthermore, posting images and videos of your heroic actions all over the internet is bound to generate win, exhorting other Anonymous to follow your glorious example.
Finally,Rule #34: If it exists, there is porn of it. No exceptions.
If you follow these simple rules, the success of your actions is virtually assured. However, keep in mind that the success of the demonstration as a whole hinges on the good behavior of all those who participate. Ignore these rules at your own peril. Follow them, and victory will be yours.

March 15th Rules
Below are a list of rules for the following protest on March 15, 2008. These will be on lamp posts surrounding the event, so that order is ensured and all Anonymous stay peaceful. It also helps us root out those employed by Scientology to act unfavourably and demean the group.
1. Do not under any circumstances enter the building, or undertake actions directly outside it. This will be classified as an aggressive action, and may provide sufficient motive to get the protest shut down.
2. Do not under any circumstances make any direct threats against the church. Making accusations is acceptable, but threats, whether violent or not, are unacceptable. This applies to whatever person was screaming "We will not stop until the roads run red with Scientologist blood" into the megaphone - as the owner of the megaphone correctly spake, "User was banned for this post".
3. Engage with the media, police, Scientologists and the public politely and with respect.
The whole point of the protests are to bring awareness of the injustices and abuses suffered at the hands of Scientology. By being aggressive or overt you are no better yourself. Again, assure you have your facts correct, feel free to bring fact or help sheets to help if you are engaged by the media, and always be ready to listen to, and respond politely to anything the public has to say, whether positive or negative.
Make yourself look appealing to both the public and the Scientologists, in the way you are dressed, in the signs that you carry and the songs you sing. If there are already doubters within the Edinburgh Org, a welcoming presence of anons may sway them our way.
4. As Few Memes As Possible Please
Memes are an integral part of the movement of Anonymous and are important to boosting morale, spreading the word on the internet and creating internal appeal.
However, while longcat and mudkipz are funny on the internet, Joe Public will be confused, or worse yet, see it as immature, stupid or just plain annoying. Please do not create pickets, signs, or fliers with memes, inside jokes or images. This is simply a waste of time and effort. Instead make sure you research your facts and print only truthful information. You can find more on the Resources page.
5. At any reasonable cost, obtain lulz. We're not JUST here because it's the right thing to do, we're also here to have a good time. Have a laugh and a bit of banter and cheer everyone up =)
